It was time for us to vacate Crystal Brook Tourist Park and head on to our next destination down to the beach at Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula. We took the most direct route, down the Eastlink toll road. We had booked into Kangerong Holiday Park and after 3 missed turns into the Caravan Park itself 3 times, and yes Roo was driving, we finally made it in! The entry itself is quite obscure as it shares it with the Caltex fuel station and is actually behind it. Nevertheless, we made it and got ourselves a really beaut shady and large site and were soon unpacking and setting up. Whilst Jess rested after her huge weekend, Mr Roo, Ryan and I took a walk to the shops and a stroll along the beach. |
Upon return of the walk, Mr Roo and I put our togs on and headed back across the road to the beach for a swim! It was so nice to have the beach to ourselves, being out of tourist season! The bay was calm and the water refreshing and such a glorious day to enjoy!
To finish off the evening we had a visit from Mr Roo's cousins, W & G who live in Dromana, who joined us after dinner for a relaxing chat, enjoying the balmy evening outside our van.
