With rain yet again today, we had no choice but to pack up in the rain and left Geraldton and headed south on the Brand Highway. We turned off at Indian Ocean Drive which followed the coast down to our next destination, the beach side and fishing town of Jurien Bay. Jurien Bay is just 2.5 hours north of Perth and is becoming popular as a destination for a quick getaway for those that live in the city. Swimming, snorkelling, fishing and 4 Wheel Driving are all activities enjoyed, particularly in summer. It is also home to the Jurien Bay Marine Park which sea lions call home. Our main reason for stopping in Jurien Bay was to use it as a base for our trip tomorrow, to the Pinnacles Desert in the nearby Nambung National Park. Stay tuned!
