![]() This is a Rooish version of what the condition of Aerosinsitis looks and feels like. This is one of our actual small drink bottles that had been on board the flight from the Gold Coast to Melbourne and demonstrates the pressure the bottle underwent upon descent. That's gotta be painful when you descend and your ears struggle to pop, don't you think? | What a day! We had every intention of getting a somewhat early night which of course did not happen and had to be up at 4.30am in order to get from our accommodation at Pacific View Apartments to the Gold Coast Airport out at Coolangatta in good time for our flight. Our pickup arrived early and we were soon on our way and after picking up several other passengers, we arrived at the airport about an hour later just before sunrise. We checked in and had a 2 hour wait which actually did seem to slip by quickly as we continued to wake up. The flight to Melbourne Airport all went smoothly with no issues and fortunately, once again, no return of the Aerosinusitis! It seems that I have been able to manage it with taking the sinus pain relief medication prior to and during the flight. This may not work for everyone, but it seems to have for me. This picture is an interesting observation of what actually occurred to a capped water bottle upon descent and I liken it to the symptoms and feelings that I get of how Aerosinusitis actually feels. The human body is remarkable when it is all functioning. When a bit doesn't, it can be painful! |
Just on 7 hours later and lots of stops for rests, we finally reached home safely around 9.30pm. What a huge, huge day!
